The title of this painting, No Swimming, might appear to be linked to another one, Safe Water Limit, since both refer to floating into water and other activities alike. That wasn’t my purpose – but, well, why not?

Il titolo di questo dipinto, Divieto di balneazione, potrebbe sembrare collegato a un altro, Limite delle acque sicure, dal momento che entrambi trattano di fluttuare nell’acqua o simili. Non era mia intenzione – ma, insomma, perché no?

Titus Lucretius Carus (15 October 99 BC – c. 55 BC) was the Roman poet and philosopher who wrote the famous philosophical poem De rerum natura (On the Nature of Things), a work about the tenets and philosophy of Epicureanism, that I have always appreciated.

Tito Lucrezio Caro (Titus Lucretius Carus 15 ottobre 99 AC – c. 55 AC), è stato il poeta e filosofo romano che ha scritto il famoso De Rerum Natura (Sulla natura delle cose), un poema filosofico di taglio epicureo che ho sempre apprezzato molto.
